Clear print works best
Use sharp, upright printed text with good contrast. Handwriting, complex tables, columns and low-resolution photographs are not guaranteed. OCR can substitute or omit characters, including numbers. Review important details against the image.
A blank or unreadable image produces an explicit no-text result. You can then type corrections yourself; FilePogo does not invent missing words. Languages and the OCR engine are self-hosted public assets; the initial download may take time.
Your files and outputs
Only browser-decoded raw pixels reach the local OCR engine. No image, recognised text, selected filename or review edits are sent to a conversion service or analytics. No saved drafts, persistent OCR cache, remote URL import or account is required.
Reviewed text is limited to100,000Unicode code points and1MiB. TXT preserves reviewed text as UTF-8. Word export preserves text and paragraph boundaries, up to2,000paragraphs and20MiB. Optional reference images are separate resized PNGs, not editable text. Font appearance can vary with the fonts available in your Word viewer. Export jobs have a30-second limit. Cancel terminates work and discards incomplete outputs; Reset also clears the image, recognised text, previews and download links. Memory erasure is not guaranteed.
